Strong Values

Dave has lived in the Bay Area for 18 years. Education is especially valued by Dave's family. Dave's father was a college professor; his mother was a Sunday School teacher and is currently working on her Teaching Certificate in Special Education. She eventually wants to teach art to disabled children.

Educational Excellence

Valedictorian of his high school class, Dave attended Stanford University and in four years graduated with a Bachelor's Degree with Distinction and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Business Excellence

Dave has been an executive or founder of five high technology start-up companies in the past 15 years, and is currently president of his own software company.

Active Community Leader

Dave and his wife Terilyn, a pharmaceutical industry manager, have been active volunteers and leaders in public policy, the arts, health care women's organizations and education.

Dave led the effort to create a memorial for Vietnam and Korean War veterans, earning him a Stanford Associates Outstanding Achievement Award, and he's a member of the San Mateo County Office of Education Telecommunications and Technology Task Force.

Terilyn is active in Peninsula women's organizations, the League of Women Voters, and is a volunteer for Seton Hospital.

Dave is also a member of the National Board of Directors for the American Electronics Association, and is Co-Chair of the Association's California Public Policy Committee.
